Colour Code Converter
See one colour as HEX, RGB, HSL, CMYK and OKLCH, with a tint scale and palettes.
Tool
Enter a single colour and this tool converts it into every common format: HEX, RGB, HSL, HSV, CMYK and OKLCH. You can type a HEX code (3, 4, 6 or 8 digits), an rgb() or hsl() value, or a CSS colour name such as rebeccapurple, or pick a shade with the colour picker. Each output row copies with one click. The tool also builds an 11 step scale from 50 to 950 for the same colour.
The palette section shows complementary, analogous, triadic, tetradic and split complementary colours. Beside every palette colour you will find its contrast ratio against white and black text and an AA mark; WCAG AA asks for at least 4.5:1 for normal text. You can export the result as CSS variables, a Tailwind colors object or JSON. Adding ?renk= to the page address lets you share the chosen colour as a link.
Limits: the CMYK value is an on screen approximation and carries no print profile, so check it against your printer's profile for anything that goes to press. Screens render colour differently, so the same code cannot be guaranteed to look identical on every device. Palette suggestions are a starting point, not a brand decision. The contrast check only compares text and background colour; type size and weight need judging separately.
FAQ
Which colour formats can I type in?
HEX with 3, 4, 6 or 8 digits, rgb() and rgba(), hsl() and hsla(), and CSS colour names. The colour picker writes into the same field.
Will the CMYK value print the same colour?
It cannot be guaranteed. The CMYK shown here is an on screen approximation without a print profile. For print work, test against your printer's own profile.
What does the AA mark mean?
You see a pass mark when the contrast ratio between the colour and white or black text reaches the WCAG AA threshold of 4.5:1. Large text has a lower threshold, and this tool only checks the 4.5:1 level.
Are the colours I enter sent anywhere?
No. Every conversion runs in your browser. Your last 8 colours stay in this browser's storage on this device and never reach a server.
