Tool

This tool splits the plain text or page HTML source you paste into words in your browser and lists the most frequent single words, two word and three word phrases with their counts and percentages. If you enter a target keyword it shows how many times it appears, its share of all words, whether it occurs within the first 100 words and, for HTML input, whether it is present in the page title, H1 and meta description. The summary boxes give total and unique words, sentence count, average sentence length and reading time at an assumed 200 words per minute. Lower-casing rules and stop word lists are available for seven languages including Turkish; Turkish keeps the İ/i and I/ı distinction and strips suffixes after an apostrophe, as in Ankara'da.

Percent is the number of times a phrase occurs divided by the total word count; phrases do not cross sentence, line or punctuation boundaries. Read the list to see what the text is really about: if the phrase you expected is missing, the text may not be saying its subject clearly; if a single phrase towers over everything else, the text may be repeating itself. Google does not use keyword density as a ranking signal and there is no percentage to hit; this tool suggests no target, it only makes repetition and distribution visible. For HTML input, script, style, noscript and template content is dropped, tags are removed and HTML entities are decoded; navigation and footer areas are counted together with the body, so pasting only the body text gives cleaner results.

The tool does not fetch an address itself; to analyse a page you copy and paste its source or upload the .html file, with a 2 MB file limit. It does not merge synonyms, inflected forms (for example keyword and keywords) or misspellings; each form is counted separately. It does not guess the language, you choose it; if the wrong language is selected only the lower-casing rule and the hidden stop word list change, the counts do not. Neither the text nor the file is sent to any server; everything runs in your browser and is cleared when the page is reloaded.

FAQ

What keyword density should I aim for?

There is no set ratio. Google does not use keyword density as a ranking signal; read the percentage as a way to see the text's subject and repetition, not as a target. If the same phrase appears often enough to disrupt reading, that can count as keyword stuffing, which falls under Google's spam policies.

What is counted when I paste HTML?

script, style, noscript and template blocks are dropped, tags are removed and entities such as & are decoded. The page title, first H1 and meta description are captured separately; navigation, footer and similar text in the body is included in the count.

What are stop words and why are they hidden?

Conjunctions, prepositions and pronouns such as the, of, and, ve, için come out on top in every text and say nothing about its subject. They are hidden in the single word list by default; in two and three word phrases they stay in place, and phrases made only of stop words are not shown. Turn the option off to see everything.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. The text you paste or the file you upload is processed only in your browser, no data reaches a server, and the input is cleared when you reload the page.
